As part of our mission to build the perfect ecosystem for startups, the Innovation Smart District (ISD) made a strategic visit to Silicon Valley, the global epicenter of technological innovation. During this visit, we had the privilege of meeting with industry leaders and exploring collaborations that will strengthen our entrepreneurial community in Panama and the region.
One of the highlights of our trip was the visit to Plug and Play Tech Center, a renowned innovation platform that drives the future together with corporations, governments, startups, investors and universities. This experience allowed us to confirm that we are in the right direction and that the alliances we are building will bring new opportunities for the visionaries in our community.
El Plug and Play Tech Center, founded in 2006 by Saeed Amidi, has established itself as one of the most active venture capital firms in the world, focusing on early-stage technology companies. Its focus on collaboration and support for startups has been critical to the success of numerous startups.
Our visit to Silicon Valley not only provided us with an in-depth view of the best practices in innovation and entrepreneurship, but it also allowed us to establish valuable connections with key players in the global technological ecosystem. These interactions are essential to adapt and apply effective strategies that promote the growth and competitiveness of startups in our region.
